Project management is in our DNA. Johnstaff has unsurpassed experience in effective project management of a diverse range of capital and operational projects using our in-house PMRM methodology, as well as other industry recognised project management methodologies. These include PMBOK, PRINCE2 and Agile, together with delivery via a range of procurement models. We see our role as providing genuine advice and becoming a collaborative member of our client’s organisations for the duration of any assignment, and hopefully for many years beyond a project commission.

At the forefront of Johnstaff’s project management methodology is an in-depth understanding of the complex business continuity constraints facing our clients. Our Project Management team specialises in the delivery of complex projects in challenging, often constrained and usually fully operational environments.

We make sure we deliver high-quality project outcomes within the specified cost, time and quality parameters, whilst minimising impacts and providing maximum risk protection to business operations.

Johnstaff’s Project Management service extends from the inception of what may become a project, helping our clients navigate through long-term master planning, feasibility studies and the inputs necessary for business case or Board approvals.

We have built our reputation on getting our hands dirty, understanding and managing the detail on every project. While we trust and encourage design consultants, we ensure that we are across all elements of our projects so that we can avoid surprises.

We take a proactive approach to design management, ensuring key stakeholders have progressive buy-in and designers and clients participate in active coordination and quality checks of documentation.

We don’t provide, nor do we tolerate, “post box” management. This is because we recognise the difficulties in obtaining funding within both the private and public sectors and maintain our prime objective to provide maximum value for each dollar spent.

Our professionals are recognised for their strong knowledge of contracts and contract administration expertise. We believe clients should get what they pay for, and ensure building contractors deliver the full scope of their contractual obligations. We are often asked to provide independent contractual claims advice, and are prepared to get our hands dirty where many of our competitors decline.
