Applications for our 2026 graduate intake is now open Auckland

Johnstaff is seeking final year students within Building& Construction, Project Management, Civil Engineering & Architecturewho are wanting to kickstart their career within the industry.

Our Project Management Graduate program runs for 12 monthsin an office-based Project role. This means that our graduates gain hands-on,client-side experience on a wide variety of projects and initiatives. 

The program is designed so that graduates get real exposureto the client-side across multiple sectors - including Health, Education,Research, Aged Care, Justice, Transport, Commercial, and Residential.

This includes learning how to:

  • deliver the best investment outcomes for clients
  • deliver the best value outcomes - whether that's savings,efficiencies, speed of completion or social benefits
  • identify and solve business problems
  • minimise risk, and
  • make sure that the systems and infrastructure we design work whenthey're used.

The program includes structured learning outcomes focusedon:

  • Project administration including the facilitation, reporting andanalysis of projects
  • Cost management and processes involved in controlling project costs
  • Project procurement consultant engagement, and
  • Project programming and status reporting.

All graduates will have a dedicated buddy, and work within ateam-orientated culture and supportive environment. Importantly, we offer ourgraduates permanent positions from day one.

  • Applications officially open 2nd June 2025 and areto be submitted via the portal below.
    • A CV, Cover Letter and AcademicTranscript is required.
  • Applications close on 28th August 2025
  • Short-listing of candidates and phone interviews will occur, inwhich we'll talk about your career goals and skills
  • In-person interviews (where possible), to talk about youraspirations and what we offer in more detail
  • Reference checks, and
  • Offers to successful candidates are made during this process.
